Hi! I need some help. I`ve git a dvd player (DEX) that shows srt subs without shadows so it`s impossible to read them, but it also supports sub+idx subs. I watched school wars wit sub+idx - it was great. I tried to make my own sub+idx subs with maestrobst sontovobsub and txttovobsub - but they work only on my pc and my dvd player don`t open videos with them. I`ve attached some example that 100% works on dvd player, could you analise it, and say me how to make something like that??

You can try make a .divx with image subtitles(so you can have shadows) using sub2divx. You might have to name the .divx to .avi so your DEX player identify it.

But if I have 60-220 series of anime should i convert each one to divX?? It makes no sense.

Hi,
You can try to convert srt to sub/idx with SubtitleCreator. Maybe it will work better?

Cheers

They work perfect on PC but DVD player doesn`t show them. Could you make a test-sub for example SRT
1
00:00:00,000 --> 00:00:15,000
TESTTTTT!
and convert it to vobsub(idx+sub) [Maybe I do something wrong]
