Good news, I think we all knew it was just a matter of time. It'll be a while before I jump into backing up my Blu-ray discs however, the BD-ROM's, Blu-ray burners and especially the BD-R's ($20-25 apiece ) are still quite expensive.

I'm not sure if it can be done since native BD streams are 23.976fps while HD are 29.976 with pulldown, and I'm not sure if there is a remuxer like TSRemux for HD. EVODemux only demuxes, not remuxes.
It's rather academic anyway - are you really going to burn it onto half a dozen DVDRs?

Is there a guide for that? I haven't found one.

Great, any chance of getting more great catalog titles on Blu-ray from Fox Video just went out the window....

I think in theory people will want to maybe burn to HD media to watch on stand alone players. For example I sometimes rip my RC 1 DVDs so that I can watch them on my region locked DVD player here in Europe plus get rid of all the user prohibited fetaures.
In theory someone may have an HD-DVD drive in their computer but a BluRay player and want to watch the film on the stand alone without losing too much quality.
As you say though, academic and perhaps for a minority.

I have downloaded a couple and they worked fine.... |
We don't recommend that you do that. It's Warez - not a good idea to discuss or admit doing this.
