Hey guys, I'm pretty knowledgeable when it comes to computer and ripping regular movies.. But recently I've tried to rip the Entourage Seasons.. for some reason it shows that the Episode are half the length of what they really are and when I try to rip them it only rips one episode. I'm definitely doing something wrong and don't really know what it is sad.gif
I'm Using DVDDecrypter to try and burn them currently... and tried to rip it in IFO.. is that right?

So any help would be awsome
Thanks

Use DVDFab HD Decrypter 4.0.1.2 and rip using the Full Disc option

DVDDecrypter was abandoned years ago by its creator due to legal pressure and it simply can't handle the tricks that certain studios use now, such as ARCCOS, to protect DVDs. Denvers Dawgs' suggestion is a good one.

Welcome to the forums, by the way. No offense, but if you were really and truly "pretty knowledgeable" you would have already known about the problems with DVDDecrypter. Now that you know there are some gaps in your knowledge, perhaps unlike most new members who bail forever once their first question gets answered, you will consider sticking around and at least reading other posts in various forums on a regular basis. And by the way, since you are apparently using DVDDecrypter to burn (you should use ImgBurn, which is by the same author and regularly updated. Since it has no decryption software, there's no legal issues against it), you found the wrong forum to post in. The "DVD to DVDR/ HDDVD & Blu-Ray Backup" would have been a better choice.

They probably leave because you answer in an idiot way like you just did by basically insulting us. I'm well aware about the problems with DVDDecrypter, but it has ripped almost every movie I've tried, but I've never tried ripping a Season DVD. And no, I didn't ask anything about burning, did I?... I asked how to rip it. Maybe you should bail now that you've made a f-tard out of yourself.

By the way, Thank you Denvers Dawgs.. that worked well.

EliteMarine - I really don't believe jman was trying to insult your intelligence. The guy DID start by "welcome to the forums"! The Dawgs war correct in his recommendations. jman was simply trying to help you by tuning you in to imgburn: Another fine program by LightningUK (the author of DVDdecrypter).

I lurked around this site when it was VCDHelp for 6 months before posting one question - because I wanted to learn from these guys.

I agree with classfour, I have been a member of this site for a while now and mainly try to read and learn on my own. Just recently I posted one of my first threads and posed a question about a similar topic, ripping episodic DVD.

If you are looking for help, I would show a little humility in the fact that these guys are trying to help you out, take any knowledge that anyone can offer and use it as you see fit or don't use it at all, but don't insult ppl.

Well thats my two cents, and hopefully I someone can help me with my problem.

@ Eternal7331, Use DVDFab HD Decrypter ver. 4.0.2.0 rip full disc to HDD and use IMGBurn...But if you need to burn a DVD-5 disc, then use DVDshrink to compress then burn...Hope this doesn't offend anyone or insult their intelligence..good luck! smile.gif

@ tOnee1, this is not my thread, sorry for the confusion, I was just commenting....

By the by, I have been using DVDFab HD for a long time now, along with IMGBurn, all of which I learned from reading these forums and some how to guides.....

DVDShrink will rip all of the Entourage seasons without a problem. If you want to maintain 100% quality, just rip 2 episodes at a time.
