I'm annoyed to find that I've been using an out of date April version of Womble MPEG Video Wizard (DVD) for several months. I've been regularly using the 'Check for updates...' feature, and always got the message "Your software is up-to-date". But I just went to the Womble site and I see that there have been at least two updates since April: July and October.
Any other Womble users might want to check their versions.

I emailed Womble and have received this reply:
"Sorry for the confusion.
This was caused by an error in the initial design of the update
function, which had to be turn OFF till the latest update that
fixed the error.
From the 10-2007 version on, you should be able to get
our bug fix and other update without a full installation."
