I haven't really found a definitive answer on how to fix this error in an .avi. When I run through avidemux, it will just put the audio out of sync where the error was... and if I use ffmpeg, here is the output where the hiccup is in the file.

Code:
[msmpeg4 @ 0xb7e50768]
error while decoding block: 20 x 6 (3)
[msmpeg4 @ 0xb7e50768]Error at MB: 242

I am still a little new at this and working with this, sorry sad.gif ... I am trying to convert a divx to a dvd complient mpeg for burning.

Thanks in advance,
Kris

I can't use it due to it needing wxwidgets 2.8 (I have 2.6)... there is no easy way for me to upgrade wxwidgets in my distro without throwing everything out of whack, so I think I might be stuck. Is there any other program or command that might do the same thing?

I tried the original DivFix, but it always segfaults...

I ended up using the win32 version in Wine, using the NT 4.0 setting... You can't scan for errors (crashes the program), but fixing errors works fine.

Thanks for the suggestion!
