Try watching this video with High Quality Option
http://youtube.com/watch?v=7odhW8op31U&fmt=18

I think it is just as high quality as our old HD methods if you use
the high quality option

AutoGK appears to have already done that for me? The source files were 704x576 but AutoGK has resized the height of each clip based on the fixed width of 704 which I entered to preserve maximum resolution.

OK, good. If you set a 704 width, then they should really be 704x528 or somesuch (if originally 4:3).
Yes thanks. The full-frame clip is exactly 704x528 and the W/S clips differing amounts below that.

The video isn't available. Do you remember the userID associated with that video?

But it was super high quality.

1280x720 Resolution
30 FPS
Forgot the bitrate... maybe 1200+

You mean the source was 1280x720 Resolution etc? We all know Youtube only encodes to 480x360 with &fmt=18

lol I know man....its been said many times that Youtube are watching this forum, and than you go along and say you made a script for SWF files? You might aswell just email editor@youtube.com and tell them the same thing! Anyways I doubt Youtube would have started accepting SWF all of a sudden..

WTF? The inevitable has happened. Frifox's YT account was suspended a few hours ago while I received my last and final warning over posting HQ music videos. Damn Youtube!

Edit:
Those copyright notices are coming thick and fast right now. My second account got suspended due to claims by BlackHole Recordings (Tiesto's label). Yep, of all the DJs in the world, he's started removing vids from YT. Though I must say this is going to take ages because at last count, there were over 83,000 Tiesto and Tiesto-related videos on the tube.

ive tried your shodan's vp6 "mod" but like shodan original tool im unable to select the codec, when press the dropdown menu no options appear, if i open the avi file on virtualdub i can select ther vp6 codec through there.

You probably need to remove ALL VP6 codecs from your computer an install the VP6.2 codec that comes with my package. The ffmpeg VP6 patch is only for VP6.2. smile.gif

Today keepvid.com doesn't show to me the HQ flv version, only the LQ flv & HQ mp4 versions.
Does this mean that youtube has replaced the HQ flv (mono) version with the HQ mp4 (stereo) version?

Can you test it?

It seems that by pressing the "watch in high quality" button, you still get the HQ flv mono version although you can no longer manually see it by adding "&fmt=6".

That's why keepvid.com does not find the HQ flv mono version. It still exists but they might have changed the "&fmt=x" code of it.

edit At least that's what I think. I'll do further testing in a while.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iGwwwPQgZjc look, i've mixed 30hz sine wave with this track and YT compressor/limiter/whatever processed audio very nicely. Normalize your track to -3 DB, then mix it with -12 DB 10-30hz sine wave and sound will be much better.

No, I'm not violating any of their rules. I'm uploading only x264 .AVIs

I did further testing:

keepvid doesn't show me the &fmt=6 for ANY video

The high quality button still plays the &fmt=6 version

I have a xvid avi that I encoded to x264 and uploaded to youtube. I also uploaded the source file.
The x264 version has a "watch in high quality button" that plays the &fmt=6 version. I can also play this version by typing &fmt=6. It also has a &fmt=18 version.
The avi version (source) doesn't have a HQ button. Adding &fmt=6 does absolutely nothing. But it has a &fmt=18 version.

After many tests I reached a conclusion that our put videos are being altered in the 2-pass mode (&fmt=18)(X264) and if we will add empty frames it is obvious that the quality will be left great this way it is looking out in theory.
