Title says it all really. I used to own an original Sony PSP, back in the days of the ridiculous encoded video limitations.

I recent picked up a new PSP Slim (really nice btw, feels much lighter). I see that we can now do full blown 480x272 native resolutions, as long as it's a H.264/AVC encode.

When glancing over what manner of tools I should be using for my encodes these days, I stumbled upon an annoying reality...

All of these PSP conversion tools are for morons! They don't allow for any real level of customization as to allow for the BEST quality possible.

Like when I'm using GordianKnot to convert DVD's to high quality AVI's... I can root through the Xvid codec and do whatever I please.

Not so much with these idiot PSP conversion tools (pretty much select your bitrate and click convert, *weep*)

So, has anyone out there figured out how to achieve MAX quality PSP video conversion? Or at least a tool set that allows you to fiddle around with all the fine settings of the codec, so I can figure it out myself! lol

Thanks in advance.
