I recently used the DVD region code hack for the LG RH 278H from http://www.videohelp.com/dvdhacks/lg-rh277h/8198, and it worked. However, while doing this I accidently changed some other "values" in OP1, OP2, OP3, etc. Can someone send me or post the exact values of all the OP1, OP2, etc? Thank you.

I too have this problem--- Unfortunately LG customer service was unable to help me...! Because I changed some of the other options, it seems that my DVDr/VCr will not longer recognize my antenna connection. Many thanks in advance to anyone who can help!

Jakobus,

Do you have the original settings for the other options (other than 1 & 2)? If so, would you mind sharing them?

Many thanks in advance for your post!

Well, the hack should work. The problem is that if you're not careful, you can change some of the other OP codes. However, there's nothing stopping you from adding a note warning people of that hack ...

The idea is to change bit 7,6,5 on OP6 so that all three are 0.
In your case, you go from:
AF: 1010 1111
to
8F: 1000 1111

This is how I made my previous generation LG (780) to all region.

I made mine lg rh 277 region free using this hack.
However, now my timer recording feature does not work.
I think I may have changed the last parameter by mistake.

Can someone post the original parameters?
Also, has anyone else had this problem?

thanks,

Flexagon,

Are you sure that your settings posted above are the original ones?
I have different settings in positions 1,2,3,5,7, and 8.

thanks,

guys, need help URGENTLY. I tried to change the opcodes on my LG RH277 yesterday, however accidentally i have changed the opcodes for the remote control, so now it is completely blocked and i cannot access the CLEAR key to change them again. Does anyone know if there is a way to get into the Options menu without the remote control?

I'm really at a loss here, it's such a shame to see my 222 euros go to waste! the lg service centre here in cyprus don't seem to have a clue either.
