Insomniak4700 - That's weird. I wouldn't change the bassaudio filters if I were you. They're tricky and very version specific.

I'll check in later for a .WAV version. thanks!

Thanks for sticking in there, guys. I'll have a solution for the WAV conversion and Mpeg2 issues by tomorrow.

Thanks
Edit:
Is it possible that you could make me a program that lets me just click on one file and it converts my .mpg file to DVD format video with 5.1 sound?
i hope you can because that would save me a lot of time because I need to do it like 200-300 times if not.

Insomniak4700 - Here you go. Turns out it was easier than I thought. Doesn't need the BassAudio dlls either (as long as your WAV files are under 4GB in size).
Unzip, place your WAVs in the same folder and double click the .BAT file to run.
wav_to_5_1_upmixer.rar
Aaron187 - I'll work on the MPEG to 5.1 sound script. This one is really complicated. If it was easy, I would have released it by now There are some technical hurdles that make it especially difficult, in particular ensuring the output has good A/V sync. It's a lot easier to do for DivX or Xvid AVIs.

Hello Soopafresh..
Is it also possible to upmix WMV files to 5,1 ...

dirkenlek - No, the lack of opensource tools for WMV demultiplexing and remultiplexing, and my dislike of the WMV file format make it something I'd rather not take on. It might be technically possible - someone else might have a solution.

What upmix function should I use ?
UpMixHeadphones
UpMixJagger
UpMixFarina
UpMixGerzen
UpMixSOS
UpMixMultisonic
UpMixGeneral
Which one is better for a home-theater ?
I used UpMixFarina, it works well but I got this warning :
"can't rewind stream by 63 bits"
strange

I've never seen that message before, but it looks like it is coming from FFmpeg. Replace the one in the package with this: http://ffdshow.faireal.net/mirror/ffmpeg/ffmpeg.rev10141.7z
Your source file might be imperfect. Try another file to test.

I like UpmixFarina, but that's just my personal taste. Your ears can judge which one sounds best for you. Jagger posted some additional configs in the thread.

It comes from wavi, but I tested with another avi sample and works fine
Tested with avi samples and converting NTSC to PAL and vice-versa, didn't encounter sync problems, seems that everything works fine.

Can I use this scripts for free ? i.e., can I include them in public projects ?

No problem, just have patience my friend. I'll try to get it working this weekend.

Yeah I am sure about the MPEG-1 Layer 2 audio but I am not sure they will all be mpeg2 video but they will all have .mpg extensions

Of course you can use the script and associated apps in any other not for sale project, but you have to include the source files and should include urls to the programs as well. Read the readme.[/quote]
=====
Nothing to sell, but everything to give for free, I do this only for fun and sport
You can see it working with CCE SP2...HC Enc...whatever....in just one click
well...if you have a good sample, as I said...it is a little unstable with bad sample sources.
www.avi2iso.com
should be easy to you to understand how it works, all-in-one it's all the same...or not !!!
I made some little changes, let me know if I am missing something with your credits
thanks again

Yeah nice program you have there in AVI2ISO !!
And finally a 1 click converter with Low Pass Filter turned off in CCE SP2
But with the scripta.avs and stereo.bat being generated by the main program, I can't
change the upmix script from Farina and the bitrate is stuck on 384.

Thanks for your nice words, I tried to make a all-in-one as simple as I could, that's why I made 3 profiles as you notice.

I used your defaults with UpMixFarina method, less than 256kbps for 5.1 it is very low
It is foolish to think that a all-in-one developer understands everything so....I will be very grateful if you helped me to make this more perfect...it is beta as I said in my homepage
Thank you very much

soupafresh, I was just wondering if the wav script you send me did some kind of levels adjustment? It seems so much simpler than the mp3 script....
I was just wondering because I wanted to try it with a TV movie capture..

Get rid of this section if you don't want the volume changed (so much). There are going to be some volume changes, especially with the original script on the first page using UpMixFarina. But that's by design for movies vs music. With WAV audio as your source, I'm assuming you are upmixing music, so the output isn't as dynamically compressed.
for %%a in ("*.wav") do @echo ConvertAudioToFloat().SSRC(48000).normalize() >>"%%~na.avs"
Or, try j4gg3rr's version, posted above.

Aaron - Try this one http://www.savefile.com/files/1043358
Place your MPG files in same folder and click .BAT to run
When Complete, the 5.1 Upmixed files will have .VOB extensions
* Note - It's not very smart. It won't know if your source file is Mpeg1 or Mpeg2, or if your Audio is MP2 or AC3. It'll work if your file is MPEG2 video with MP2/MPA audio. Make sure you have plenty of free disk space.

They WILL be rejected? or do they have a chance of getting through, because I just edited my MPG2 video file and now it is exporting to MPG1, I can just redo the editing and make it MPG2 but just wondering if it has a chance.
