No Short Film Competition 2006?

Not that I think that Baldick and everyone behind the scenes doesn't already have way too much on their plates as it is! I'm grateful for the last one, just bummed that we don't get a chance to see more stuff this year.

For me, there's no longer enough time left to do it this year. But I'm with you, it is disappointing. Perhaps there could be one early in 2007 (or announced early 2007 for awards mid year). It was fun participating in last years and I'd like to do it again.

As it has played out, I doubt very much that I will have the time to organise another film competition in the future though if any one wants to pick up the reins, I'll be happy to participate as a judge.

This year, I am working as a rural GP and I am much too busy with my clinical work. Next year, I will be sitting my college exams as well as starting a Masters degree (apart from my clinical work). Most of my remaining spare time is now devoted to one of my websites, The Medicine Box.

The 2005 competition was fun but absolutely exhausting. Anyone who wants to be in charge raise your hand! Certainly, many things have changed since the last comp including the rise of YouTube which simplifies a lot of the distribution problems we faced last time.
