I have been using WinTV for awhile now but I am getting tired of it malfunctioning on me and now it saves the files as avi files which makes them huge.

Can anyone recommend a high quality capturing device? Thanks!

Canopus ADVC-110 but it doesn't have a TV tuner only composite and S-Video inputs.

Hauppauge WinTV PVR units are hardware MPEG capture cards. Work much better than the old WinTV GO cards (sounds like that is what you have).

Good models are the WinTV PRV 250 (PCI), WinTV PVR 350 (PCI) or the WinTV PVR USB2 (external USB 2.0).
