Basic editing, cutting, joining:

Tmpgenc DVD Author, add dvd-video, edit, burn.
or
VOB2MPG and edit with VideoRedo and then reauthor with your favorite authoring tool.

Advanced editing:

VOB2MPG and import the MPG in your advanced editor, but not all editors supports mpg so try VOB2MPG and convert the mpg to DV-AVI, Huffyuv AVI with VirtualdubMOD and then edit in your favorite advanced editor like Premiere Pro.

Hello,

AFAIK, VideoRedo outputs only 1 audio stream and no subpics. I currently use PROJECTX and DVDLab Pro to process DVB-T Mpeg streams. But when I start from an Iso DVD I would like to go from VOB to elementary streams, which are the best inputs to DVDLab. Any idea in this direction ?

i use tmepg dvd author to undertake basic edits and then create new dvd and the quality is great.

to my knowledge, it cant go beyond basic cutting/re-ordering and authring though. i love to know if there were a program that did that too without compromising quality
