Having the same problem as Quiffster, except it's with every audio file I try to load in to the program - MP3, MP2, WAV, you name it! No matter what file I try to load, as soon as I hit Convert or try to move the slider bar, I get RUNTIME ERROR '6' - OVERFLOW.

Using the latest v0.1.9 beta, have tried installing DAudioK twice (first time was just the RAR download, copying the files straight over).

Windows Vista, Core2 DUO.

Any ideas?

Bump.

Been three weeks since I posted my question ... would be gratified if the author could address it (notice he hasn't posted to this thread since 28th June - almost three months).

Yes, I have run it both as User and as Admin; same error either way each time. When I start it as Admin though, I get warning from Vista that Console-based Script Host has been closed to protect my computer (Data Execution Prevention alert). When I try to run it in Compatibility Mode (WinXP or Win2000), it crashes at the point where DEP would otherwise close Console-based Script Host, before the GUI appears.

Makes me wonder if DAudioK isn't writing to areas of memory it isn't supposed to (at least in Vista).

"Any news on the problem converting DTS to AC3 whereby the centre channel (speech) ends up coming out of the right speaker? Would be great if this issue could be sorted out "

Just tried to convert DTS for the first time. And I got the exact same problem when converting the DTS to 5.1 AC3, as I quoted above. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I am also getting the Run-Time Error '6' Overflow. I just downloaded this program and am trying to use it for AAC multichannel to AC3 multichannel conversion (as I haven't found any solution which works for large movie soundtracks yet, no matter what the platform.)

I get the error no matter what the output it; My input is various different AAC 5.1 multichannel files. Other input formats seem to work, including two channel AAC (in the iTunes .m4a format), except when I get errors regarding AVISynth - but I'm not interested in that, so let's focus on the fact that I'm getting different symptoms from others who have posted with this Run-Time Error '6' in that it happens when I hit the "Convert" button -or- try to play only an AAC multichannel source file.

Also- I am NOT using Vista, but rather WinXP Pro SP2 (either in virtualization via VMWare Fusion, or natively via Apple Bootcamp.) My machine is a Core 2 Duo iMac.

I'd gladly donate towards getting rid of the cause of this error if it means I can actually convert from AAC multichannel to AC3 multichannel. I also agree with previous postings about the need for the ability to assign the channels, as AAC doesn't actually have a definite standard channel order.

In the meanwhile, I'll have to toss this program into the large growing pile of apps (or combinations of apps) which just don't seem to be able to help me convert AAC multichannel to AC3 multichannel.

Just hit the play button (note: does not seem to have any obvious effect) before you hit convert, it should work.

delaycut... http://jsoto.posunplugged.com/audiotools.htm
I got this problem too
but the problem is solved now

1. download the delaycut
2. fix the .DTS file
3. the message never appears and the conversion carry out smoothly

If you cannot hear the correct sounds(eg. the B....B.... sound)
I suggest you convert it into the mode of wav(multi) by dt2wav2ac3

And if the wav is too large that your harddisk unable to hold it
you should try to split the file into smaller parts by Delaycut

To get rid of the overflow error just install the latest k-lite codec pack en select all codecs. After that the program will work without errors.

the one I used is "klmcodec385.exe". while installing I selected all possible codecs, so I don't know which one is responsible, but it worked for me.

The solution to your problem may be as simple as RENAMING the extracted audio file extension from AAC to DTS.

After having tried all kinds of codec packs and transcoding combinations myself, eventhough to no avail, I've found out that when a native .dts file is given an .aac file extension, it causes DAudioK to assign a NEGATIVE duration to it (hence the overflow error). After renaming the file to .dts, the error simply disappears along with the negative duration bug and the transcoding works like a charm!.

Been there, done that.

I hope it helps.

Hi everybody.
I'm sorry for this long time away. Real Job has been a pain in the ass, plus some personal issues plus windows vista kept me away from releasing a new version for this long.
Anyway, I am working on DAudioK again just been delayed a bit because to fix the Vista compatibility problems, I had to own Vista so... I am running first tests right now so I hope i can make it work, even if some bugs may remain unsolved for now they will, as possible be fixed on next releases.

Thank you all for your patience. i will try to do my best and as quick as possible.

Hi Rockas

Thanks for DaudioK, this is a great software. But I am having a little problem. When I convert an AAC 5.1 file to AC3, it generates a 2.0 AC3 file, although I have selected 6 channels in the AC3 options (without 5.1 upmix)...
