I've searched the web and these forums for an answer but it looks like nobody has asked this question before.
On a PC drive where the region has not been switched and remains as it came from the factory (region 1) and I put in a region 0, region-free, or an all-region disc, will the drive count this as one of the 5 region switches?
Any help is appreciated, and thanks in advance!

I've never tried, but I doubt that you can put in region 0, region-free or all-region. If you can, why worry about whether it counts as one of the 5 region switches- you'd never have to switch it again.
Or are you talking about the disk itself? A region-free disk will play no matter what region the drive is set to. Nothing has to be switched so nothing would count against the number of switches.
The drive does not switch regions automatically just because you put in a disk with a different region.

No. It will not count.
"All Region" or "Region 0" is like not having a region setting at all.
No region. No switch.
