The default output location for Super is C:\ (the root of the C directory). You can right-click in window and change the location using the "Output File Saving Management" menu item.

When I last used Super it used my desktop as default output location.

Ok, 2 days ago I knew nothing of this... here is where I am...

Got a few FLV files I wanted to put on DVD
Converted them to VOB with Super
Burned them to DVD with Nero 6.6

The process seemed to work, except I get NO audio on the DVD. The VOB files DO have audio, as they will play on my computer with "PowerDVD"

So I re-converted the FLV files to MPEGII, and burned them to DVD, Now I get video and audio but it's completely scrambled.

Next I tried to convert to AVI, I can't even remember what went wrong that time but it didn't work.

I downloaded IMG tool burn, but it couldn't put the files on disc.

All I want to do is put these stupid files onto a DVD so I can play it on the TV for my son.

PLEASE someone give me the simple process which I am missing, it can't be that hard.

I think that my problem really lies with Nero - as the files before seem fine. WHY would I loose audio when I burn the file? How does Nero have authority to modify a file I am burning to DVD?

This is getting REALLY Frustrating!!

Hi everyone,

I got some .flv videos and converted them with Super in NTSC format. When I try to burn them with Nero, it tells me DVD-video files compliance test failed.
says its missing VIDEO_TS_IFO and VIDEO_TS_BUP ...how do I get these from Super or is there a way around this?

Hi Guys,

It sounds like you all know what you are talking about, so it's a good place to start for a double newbie like me.

I'm new to the forum, and new to trying anything with videos to DVD.

I'm trying to put youtube vids onto a DVD. I've downloaded Riva Player FLV so that I can store and play them, and I also have Riva Encoder, but I can't figure out how to actually make the transfer to DVD and end up with the finished article viewable.

I've had a few attempts, but got to pulling hair out status.

I've looked at the help sections, but a lot of it is gobbledegook to me.

Do I have the right stuff to do it, and if so how do I use it, or do I need something else PLEASE?

Remember replies have to be idiot proof!

Hello Jammy Dodger, Here's a couple of tips that should help you get started.
There are so many ways now to download the files from youtube, firefox extensions being my favourite as it gives you the options to download the high quality FLV, Low Quality FLV, MPEG-4 or high quality MPEG-4 as .MP4 files. therefore you have a multiple choice right at the start!
I assume you don't have a problem downloading as you already say, you have some flv files. Just thought I'd let you know that you can actually download superior quality files from youtube these days.
Get the following extension in firefox and you'll see!
First off install this addon, it enables you to then install scripts which enhance your browsing experience on many sites. (If this sounds confusing, don't worry, it's simple stuff)
So make sure you have installed Firefox (getfirefox.com) and then browse to the URL below using firefox.

Now install the addon on that page by clicking install addon (funnily enough!)
Then restart firefox and go to this page

click on the INSTALL for that to install into your browser, the Yousable Tubefix script that gives great options next time you go to youtube.
One more thing you will need is the encoding software:
DVD Flick. this will convert the files and burn them to DVD for you,. It also has some options for creating simple menus too. A very simple to use program, go get it here:

OK I will get on with the process now you have the software

Simply grab the videos you need from youtube and then start up DVDFlick.
You can now just drag n drop the video files from any folder on your PC, right into the main window of DVDFlick. This will add them to a new DVD project for you.
You can just leave all the settings at the defaults and press burn (or is it create) DVD and the result will be fine in most cases. You can look through the settings yourself though and decide if you want to change any of them. there is a little help info icon next to each setting so you can click those to get information about what the setting does.
This method has worked for me most times.
There is a great website too that takes a youtube URL from you and then converts the video file it gets from there, into any of a number of formats you can choose on the site. Then it gives you a download link to the converted file. This is great because you can tell it to convert the youtube video to DivX and MP3 audio. It takes a minute or so and then you have your AVI file. Then most burning apps will convert & burn to a DVD. Nero, convertX and most others like AVI files.

To use it you just make sure you have the address to the youtube video you want, then paste the address into the place for it on the page, then select what format you want DivX+MP3 is best for most compatibility with other programs, then just convert and wait for the download link to appear.

Progress so far.
I have all downloads etc
However when I click burn on DVDFlick it takes the finished item to the project destination folder at the bottom of the page.
How can I get it to my blank disc?
Do I need to use another program to burn it to the disc?
How I understood you info was it would goes to disc, have I missed something?
