I have noticed lately that if i burn say 3 or 4 350mb files as avi's onto a dvdr, they all play fine in my philips divx compatible dvd. (think its a 642) HOWEVER, if i fill the disc with more (in his case 12) episodes there seems to be audio synching problems with the final few episodes (in this case 10,11 and 12). Is this normal??

i have also tried pressing the system menu button twice which often fixes pixelation problems but it doesnt fix this. Obviously the files are perfectly in synch when played on a pc.
thanks

edit: i have just split the 12 episodes into 2 discs of 6 episodes and still these few episodes are out of sync... Here is a GSpot screen shot of the file, if anyone has any ideas as to why this is happening i'd be most greatful!

I also have the 642 (2 actually), and it doesn't have any problems with multiples files on a disc. The only time I have audio issues with this player is if I hit pause. When you hit play again to resume, 9 times out of 10, the audio will be out of sync. The only fix I have found, is to restart that episode/file.

yeah i have two of them and dont usually have problems either. I know what you mean about if you pause the file, however i've even tried turning the player off or even switching the disc to my other 642 and its exactly the same!

I have had hardly any media issues with this player, however, you may want to try different media and see what happens.
