After the unique firmware decoding by firmware modder Virus, he has now managed to make a more than complete region free hack wich is 100% RCE proof for the Panasonic S49 and S295. This is the first time that a free hack is available for a Panasonic DVD player. It makes any costly chipped remote obsolete!

The interesting part for owners of other types of Panasonic DVD players, is that Virus found out the key combination that those chipped remotes (wich are copied from official service remotes) uses. There is only 1 code of these key combination that a standard remote control cannot send. If this code is figured out than even more Panasonic DVD players can be made region free at no cost.
