I have recorded material off air using DNTV Live. To edit off uneeded material I imported into Premier Pro 1.5. In its raw state the lip synch is fine, but when it hits the timeline I find it is out of synch. I can move the audio and correct it, but after some minutes it goes out again.
I'm recording Mpeg 2 PS, which is the only format compatible with the two programs and can only think this is the cause of the problem. But it puzzles me why the imported synch is fine and what happens to mess things up when it reaches the timeline.

Guessing, when you move a clip onto the timeline in many NLEs the program will try to preview it based on the project settings, & the settings for the clip itself. For example, if you tell the NLE it's x size, y fps, z field order, it will base preview on that info. If the project settings are different, it will try to convert the clip while previewing.
Another guess might be if there's a delay processing for preview. Checking Prem rendered file would tell if this was causing problems. Could also double check codecs used/installed possibly causing prob.
