Hi everyone

I have several movies with .srt subtitles in Spanish and English, but the subtitles in each language are in independent files. My DVD player can read .srt subtitles but the .srt file has to have exactly the same file name than the .avi file. I have other movies with subtitles in several languages but in everything in a .sub file with its .idx file and the the DVD player reads them as well.

Now the question is, how can I combine the .srt subtitles into one .sub file with its .idx? or is there any other way to combine both .srt into only one .srt file (I don't know if this can be done or either if it will work on my DVD player)?

Regards

I've been looking up the DVD player specifications and it supports the following subtitle formats for .avi files: .srt, .sub, .ssa, .smi

Can I do what I want but any of those formats? I don't know if what I said in the original post is clear enought. Better an exaple: if I have movie.avi the subtitle file has to be called movie.srt or movie.sub... But I have movie.avi and movie-spanish.srt and movie-english.srt. So the thing is to combine movie-spanish.srt and movie-english.srt into a file called movie.xxx where xxx is any of the formats the DVD player supports.

I'm going to have a look at the suggestions given to see if I can work it out.

Thanks
