Adding subtitles to WMV's?

Hey. Just wondering if this is possible, or if I'd have to turn it into an AVI before adding the subs. Checked the sticky at the top of the forum:

Very helpful, but I'm not sure if virtualdubmod works with WMV's. Not many programs do, and if I converted to AVI the quality of the video would go down at least a little.

use avisynth and frameserve to virtualdubmod and you can import the wmv, read http://www.videohelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=284288
