I use these three programs to rip movies from dvd to mpg.
SmartRipper
DVD2AVI
TMPGEnc
I have many anime dvds that have two different kinds of languages. One is english and the other is japanese. When I try to rip it with smartripper, it always gives me the english audio. Even though the japanese audio has already been checked.
What am I doing wrong? I'm trying to rip japanese audio with subtitles. How do I do this with smartripper? And please tell me step by step cause I'm still new at this. Very appreciated if anyone can help me.

I use to back up my DVD´s with DVDShrink (reauthor-mode) and I have the same problem. I cannot force DVDShrink to show any subpictures. My settings are ok, I think. Default streams is set to "display the following subpricture stream" and under "Settings" I use "Subpicture: all or (my language)". This happens if I rip with DVDShrik, Smartripper or DVDdecrypter. I am quite sure that both Smartripper and DVDdecrypter actually rip the subpicture streams but DVDShrink cannot work with them. So I have to back-up the whole disk every time which of cause gives less quality. So what is wrong?
