If this is truly the guy that works for Nero Recode now, this is not at all unexpected.

There's still www.dvdshrink.info but I don't expect it to last much longer either.

I don't think they're related to DVD Decrypter. This seems more like the guy just decided it was time to retire an old site (what was it? a year outdated?). The domain and/or server is probably expiring soon.

Maybe it's still available for a little bit of info, but there's a message saying due to bandwidth issues, all downloads are linked back to Dvdshrink.org...Which is "POOOFF", a disappearing vapor of smoke......

I know it's probably not related to the dvd decrypter incident and you are more than likely right...hosting a web page costs money and since he is getting paid to work on recode why should he keep the shrink site up??? But when decrypter went down I archived the last version( I use it for buring iso's) along with the last version of shrink... I'm glad I did! biggrin.gif

By the way you can still find it here
http://www.free-codecs.com/download/DVD_Shrink.htm

That link is the mirror download site listed on the tools page here.

the domain and site fees are still paid up until april of next year (2006) ..

it is hosted at rackspace , through an affilliate ISP ..

some of the content is still there (right now anyway) ...

I suspect he just shut it down ....

it's had plenty of time to propagate throughout the web now, anyway. Since it's never going to be updated again, why not just take the site down and let others host it?

I been expecting this to happen. 2.3 has been gone for awhile now. I found it interesting that I would get errors with 3.2, yet 2.3 would work just find. Thankfully I have a copy of both.
