Once again the notorious "hackers" have reversed engineered the method to crack down the encryption which is ran by the multi billion dollar companies such as Bell ExpressVu and Dishnetwork. Few years back Nagra 1 which was the encryption used on Bell and Dishnetwork to recieve the signal was cracked down by a bunch of engineers to stop from paying for satellite television, it was the black market undergoing some serious $$$$$. With the Nagra 1 and its offerings for up to 1,100 channels of programming for the north american continent it was pretty much unstoppable. But after a few years like most providers, they tend to upgrade, change, and modify theyr changes on their network. Dishnet decided to swap all the cards from all their existing customer because they were planning on going to a new encryption. But sure enough only after 6 months when the Nagra 2 encryption came out....The hackers once again reversed engineered the code and now soon to be, theyrs going to be free tv again. I guess technology is so advanced that no one can stop it.

That was pretty much a brief overview of whats happening, and whats to come. This of course not violating any forum rules since its a topic and not a guide on "how to" obtain Nagra 2. The rumour about Nagra 2 has been going on for 3 months now, but its confirmed as of last week that it was finally cracked down.

That is not true. NDS stuff and SKY stuff is unhacked to date too.
For that matter, look at something as common as an ATM machine.

True, but I think the reason for that is because theyrs no demand for it, if Bell and Dishnet operate %70 of the consumers television sets, im sure theyrs a need for hackers to make some money off it. I know skytv is popular and whatnot, but I guess north american programming tends to be more of a popularity contest.
As for the ATM machines...Iv heard stories hehe, but its out of topic here, im just relaying this to Nagra 2.

NDS is in directv, 15 million subs, and bskyb, 8 million subs., as well as a bunch of others around the world. They have many more cards out there than Nagra.
Security gets cracked all the time. NDS has had their problems in the past. That's why the cards are replacable.

What do they use in the c-band dishes? Is it "Digicypher II"? Whatever it is, I believe that is unhacked too, and has been that way for a number of years now.
Nagra and Nagra2 is probably too similar if both were cracked.
"need for hackers to make some money off it" doesn't even make any sense. The hardware is sold at a loss, or given away free. They need subs to make profit.

Right..so whats the point to that though? Regardless anything is possible to crack down, im sure NDS will be next. Only time will tell, regardless its all a game

That's a cool dorky little catch phrase, but it's not always accurate. And no, I doubt NDS is going to get hacked anytime soon, their system has been pretty secure for almost 2 years now. That's impressive.
