Now that there are quite a few different cis systems available I thought it would be a good idea to start a new thread for cis systems in general.
I have previously owned the JWLSales system, but after having problems with the carts decided to dump it & try a new system.
The system I have ordered now is available here :- http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=51310& ... 6&rd=1
Will keep you all updated on my progress with this system.
Would be good to get a general overview of the different systems posted by users. We could all help each other out with problems & fixes.

Here are some links that may be helpfull:-

I just ordered a printforless kit with 100ml dual chamber tanks. It was $70 including shipping but doesn't include ink. I'm planning on filling it with the Sam's/Costco stratatec ink. I'll let you know how it goes.

Glad to be here with you guy's because we know how printer manufacturers make most of their profits( high prices for carts ) and they don't want us using cis because their afraid we'll save money...I'm happy to report progress with my printonadime cis although I bought it in a rush being that my jlwsales cis broke my printer from constant leaking and I didn't trust repairing it for the millionth time! I bought the printonadime combo(printer with cis kit)for $199.00...I make my money with the printer so I needed it yesterday at that time...If I could have waited I would have bought the 100ml cis but I was in a rush however I use it all the time and it doesn't use massive amounts of ink and I use an entire syringe(with needle) during refilling and it's no longer a painful process(with the needle) And don't forget to print a nozzle check every two or three days...you don't need the computer...(R200)just hold down the paper button and press the power button while holding down the paper button...release the power button while still holding down the paper button...when the power light starts to flash release the paper button...after start up is finished it will print a nozzle check...make sure paper is loaded...DUHH!

Have received a email from 'toppyjess' to say that my system has been dispatched, so hopefully will be able to report any prob's with installation & operation in a few day's.
I think the first thing I will do is setup the auto print programme that I downloaded from the printonadime site. Will set it up to print out a purge test each day when I know my pc will be on. This may seem like overkill, but after the prob's I had with the JWLSales cart's, I would rather be safe than sorry.

I HATE ALL OF YOU! HATE, HATE, HATE! laugh.gif

I bought the "jump-high, run far", wonderful, fantastic JWL CIS kit that EVERYONE was raving about on here. Haven't even hooked it up yet (had it a couple of months now) and already I'm afraid to do it. All I read now is that it's nothing but junk. GEESH! Fellas (and ladies), make up your minds, I can't afford to keep up with the Joneses. cry.gif

Guess I will buy one from Toppy-Jess and see if it works.

Don't be disheartened Captain315, your system may work fine. When I first got my JWLSales kit I thought it was the best thing since sliced bread. It worked really well for a few months. But it's like car's, we might both have the same model but I get load's of problem's & you get none. Sometime's you can blame it on the driver. Your cart's may be improved one's. You might as well set it up & get your money's worth.

I think that's what I will do. Am going to get rid of the Canon S-900 and I-950 printers and replace them with the Epson R200's. I personally will NEVER buy another Canon product. These have been nothing but trouble since the day I got them. On the other hand, I've not had one minutes problem with the R200. I just hope the JWL kit doesn't screw it up. LOL

Advice please..... Is there any advantage to getting the pigment ink rather than the dye? I read on the Toppy-Jess ad that the pigment ink is "water-resistant". Have any of you ever used the pigment ink that can give us your evaluation as compared to the water-based dye ink? I'd like to not have to spray my discs if at all possible.

Thanks!

Until we see some long term use like with the JWL system, its hard to tell if the Printonadime will truely be any better.

I always say that I'm lucky that I'm a technician...I'm not gonna get rude but the truth is the truth...if you don't believe me for those of you whom already replaced your jlwsales kit take it outside and break one of the carts open and post your findings....not only are they hollow ( the reason why it uses a sh**load of ink ) but also the outlet port is a cheap piece of rubber when it's suppose to be a valve (the reason why it cloggs and leaks).....as I posted before..I've taken the OEM (EPSON ) carts apart and it has chambers (causes the ink to spray when charged up by the printer) and the outlet port is a valve (keeps an air-tight seal) but as usual "Experience is the best teacher"...the only thing that the new CIS kits (Printonadime,ECT.)are missing is that the OEM carts have a built in filter! I will soon post pictures of the insides of the different carts...but anyway get your moneys worth from your jlwsales kits and when it gives out replace it with a CIS that's been tested by the good people of this forum...Don't hate us because we're trying to help people not make the mistake we made with jlwsales...are you going to go to china and sue jlwsales if his kit f**ks up and he refuses to replace it.....your better off with something guaranteed by city, state, and federal laws this way you can get what you paid for with piece of mind...printonadime has a 30 day policy...just something to consider...GOOD LUCK!!!

I bought mine from this company http://www.think4inc.com/cgi-bin/webdatapro/t4idb.pl. I paid $99 for it during a local computer show. The chips reset automatically and it never runs the self cleaning mode. I have to run it myself. It runs better now than it did with the original MFG carts.

I have not taken the carts apart so I don't know if they are hollow or sponged. I do know they have worked for me for atleast 3 months. I have let my printer sit for a week or so without printing and then printed without problems.

I have purchased fefill inks from costco for this unit but I will not need them for a while yet. I have printed over 300 DVDs with this setup plus over 150 DVD inlets not to mention just misc. printing. The only thing I did different with my setup is the stickies to hold the tubes I replaced with velcro, so I can pop the system on and off in seconds if need be. I will probably add the cleaning bottle soon, but I don't have to clean my heads very often. Matter of fact I think I have only done it 2-3 times total.

Thanks macro.... Myself, along with many others would like to know the true lowdown on pigment ink. BTW, I hope your realize that I was just joking about the "hate" stuff. This is all a trial and error learning process.

@ dun4cheap

Obviously a respectable company, if they have taken the same care in selecting a cis to stock as they have with their website you should'nt have any problems.
Have you guy's seen the video's available at the printonadime site ?, very informative.

Yes it would seem the design alone makes it a better system. If I was buying right now I would go with the printonadime system. I actually plan on getting a new system to replace my old JLW. I was one of the first users to get the JLW system. I know what you mean about the problems. I've had to resurrect this thing soooo many times. Hopefully the printonadime will prove to be a dependable system.

I find it interesting that with the printonadime link you cannot add the CIS system to the cart. Whats with that?

I knew too many people has using JWl CIS and only a few had problems cause of defected parts. I've ran JWL CIS since day one and had NO problem at all, checked wasting ink (on back pannel) is fine. Just want to let people already purchased JWL system and no chance to hook it up then go ahead and do it, not too many problem like some guys mention. Try it and you will know, and if you got the defected parts just email JWL, he will send you a new one.

obviously Locky you haven't seen the technical differences in the jlwsales cis versus other cis manufactureres....the jlwsales cis cartridges are created so cheap that I would rather use my previous jlwsales kit to hold colored sand and maybe it would still fail...look at the outlet port on the jlwsales kit and look at the epson carts outlet port...What's the difference? answer that yourself because I know the difference that's why I'll never put it in my new printer...not even for the love of God!!!! I replaced a cart with one he sent me...he sent no instructions and I had to E-Mail him about 20 times and wait for 2 weeks....I had to buy OEM carts until I recieved the replacement part which happened to be a better cart than the carts on the system...It looked just like an OEM cart made for CIS purposes...why don't he use them in the manufacturing of his kit?...Because their more expensive????anyway If yours fail maybe you'll take a trip to china to get your money back...I'm not upset with your comment because to each his own...I learned my lesson the hard way...maybe you'll have a good teacher(Experience)

How many people in here never failed science class?
How many took the R200 and successfully put it back together??? How many use common sense to get through problems???? Use common sense and don't get had....I got had and now I know better!!! lightbulb.gif

I just ordered the printonadime new 100 ml cis he said hes shipping it tommorrow. i going to make lost of covers and dvd with the jlw sales cis to use all the ink. When i first installed the jlwsales kit i couldnt get the patterns without blocks in the clean head maintenance. Now that ive printed alot so far i get a clean test pattern. The color is off a little but it still looks real good on the epson glossy photo paper. My cis (jlwsale ) is new but im not taking a chance. Thats why i ordered the printonadime one. plus the guy from printonadime has always answered all my question (and there were lots). good product along with someone who cares ie customer service goes along way

Ultraman, I know what you mean and will always listen to advice given to me from someone who doesn't have a hidden motive behind the advice for instance a person that works for jlwsales will do everything in their power to get you to buy their cis kit but this forum is made up of people that have nothing to gain from our advice...I will tell all...even if it's bad about whatever company I deal with and I don't care if others take offense unless the others are gonna pay me to keep quiet(make me rich)and if people wanna go with jlwsales....GODSPEED!!!!As for me...I got what I want(A good CIS that doesn't F**K my printer!!! )THANKS!!

Macrovision,

Look like you work for PrintonDime ? so far read all posts, you the only one who says bad about JWL system because your first impression (JWL sent you the bad one). Yes you are a technician and all other just the operators ? don't bring your personal issues to confuse people.
