There are supposed to be a way to render as Quicktime movie and from there choose the flv format.
Anybody done this? I can't find the flv option behind the custom button from quicktime. Yes, I've installed quicktime, the flv video exporter and upgraded to Flash MX Professional 7.2

It's easy to miss -- it's in the dropdown where .swf is listed as the save as file type.

Files in the FLV format are compressed with the Sorensen codec.

FLV uses Sorenson spark which is different to the regular Sorenson codecs. In theory you should be able to export flv files via ffdshow. Never tried it myself though.

I think so, but some people here are predicating that it is possible... that is simple ..... that iis possible from quicktime export option ....or with ffd show muxer etc
In some programs there is option through quicktime with flv exporter, but not in Vegas.....
SO, IS THERE ANY POSSIBILITY HOW TO EXPORT FLV FROM VEGAS (with quicktime or ffd) AND HOW ???
How with FFD SHOW MUXER ?

Well one would assume that with ffdshow you just select FLV1 as the codec and set it to output to an external flv file.
Like I said though. I have never tried it. Only time I ever created flv files was via Sorenson Sqeeze.

Why angle you choose Quicktime? There is no longer the owner and therefore inoperable. Moreover there is no format divx or xvid compression in therm.
Stop making the pub to call this company is rotten to the OS.

Debugmode has a free frameserver that works with Vegas. Install it, and it appears in the codec list. When you save to this format it creates a small signpost file. Keep Vegas open, then load the signpost into your FLV encoder. It will pull the video from the Vegas timeline through the signpost file and create your flv.
