I want to burn a DVD Video and when I insert a blank DVD and go to Nero Express, the option for burning a DVD video doesn't appear. The only way I can access the DVD video option is if I click on Nero Buring Rom and click on "DVD Video" and when I do that it says "No compatible recorder detected",but I have a DVD burner and I thought all DVD burners work with Nero. Someone please tell me what am I doing wrong.

Not all burners work with all versions.

That is strange, I can select DVD-Video even on a computer that doesn't have a DVD writter attached.
You can always author to a Video_TS on the HDD. Try reinstalling your nero.
Or you may have a crippled version.

You may need to enable Burn Right to allow other than Admin's to burn with the drive. [Edit] I doubt that is the issue but included it anyway.
edTV I don't think he is using Nero Vision Express to author a DVD.
