Project it onto small phot paper with a GOOD projector. Cheapo lens will hurt you. Weakness 1, needs to be variable speed. Weakness 2, camera filming it HAS TO HAVE MANUAL FOCUS - do not waste your time doing this without a manual focus. Weakness 3, knowing the play speed and setting an appropriate frame rate in your DV camera. rule of thumb - if it is 18FPS film, play it back at exact 20, capture at 60. Se how it is an even fraction. Now slow down the movie a bit in your editor. For details, I found a very good sitre with real instructions. Most out there are fakes. This place is awesome, and knowledgaeble. And they reply to emails with more than a grunt.
