DVI and HDMI Conncetion from Cable Box to TV

DVI only carries the video signal and HDMI carries both video and audio in a single cable. If my cable box has a DVI output only, then could I use a DVI to HDMI cable (assume the TV has a HDMI input) and get both video and audio in the one cable? Do I still need component video connections from the cable box to the TV in that case?

You would need a DVI to HDMI cable for video and a separate audio cable.
