Advice on Dvd player situation

Ok people,

need your advice on what to do. I have a new Hitachi 57 RPTV. I got a new JVC DVD player, one with the blue light in front to hold me over.

I am looking at getting a DVD Recorder ($300) this month, however i would also like a new DVD player.

I was looking at a Denon 2910 however they are like $600. I am not sure if i can afford both the 2910 and a recorder. Is the 2910 really that good or should i take a look at a different model or brand?

I don't own the Denon 2910 put I've read alot about it in other forums. I couldn't begin to cover everything about this player. If it is allowed, here is a link to the AVS Forum threads (the are LONG but read them COMPLETELY).
