Like TK, I can't answer no to any of the dvd-vcd-svcd options.

The last option almost got my vote, but then I realized that I'm not gay.

But daymmmmm, tgpo sure is cute with his hair done, and the right makeup, with that "come hither" look on his face ...umm ...oops redface.gif too much info there biggrin.gif

Back to the question: I went straight to DVD in 2002, capturing VHS. I hadn't done any video stuff before that. wink.gif Never VCD, never SVCD. But since VCD is higher on the list, I voted for that.

Vcd's and svcd's aren't hard to make Cap.

I suggest you try it at least once.

I should. I never give advice to noobs about those because I've never done them. Never saw a need once DVD went mainstream. Maybe I should expand my horizons a bit biggrin.gif

Made one VCD with the excellent guides on this site. Never made a second. Went straight to DVD from there. In all honesty, I had better results producing the first VCD than the first DVD! biggrin.gif

I never made VCD's, because my players wouldn't play them - went from a few SVCD's to DVD.

Made tons of great VCDs, never svcd and finally broke down and went to DVD....after that I never looked back!

Used to take me 3+ hours for one vcd and maybe 30-40 mins at best for DVD.....no brainer wink.gif

Now I just rip dvd to dvdr.

I agree hech, "a lot" seems like it would be used for talking about a physical object, such as "a parking lot". I think I will stick with alot for now. noexpression.gif

Why is it AN? I was alwasy told that you only use AN if the word following began with a vowel sound.

The letter "S" is pronounced Ess....there is the vowel sound.
