Back in the day it used to be Alta Vista but to tell the truth I didn't know they were still around. Go Google.

I perfer MetaCrawler ... www.metacrawler.com which searches a majority of the listed search engines and gives ya all the results without having to run all over the place when ya cant find something.

Poor WebCrawler. Only 1 vote compared to Google's 1,749. I wonder who that 1 person was. pensativo.gif

Anyway, I once used HotBot, then Altavista. Then my friend told me about how he used Yahoo to search and it worked really well. Then I remember once seeing a little image that said Yahoo's results provided by Google. And Google has been my homepage since. I really like the fast loading uncluttered design. The search results are getting worse however.

Altavista till the day I die.

It was the first Search engine I ever used (in '96).

www.mamma.com is one of my favorites.

It is the mother of all search engines.

I use Google for most info searches I need, but Alta Vista beats it hands down for image searches and usually audio and video as well if I'm ever looking for those types of media.

Wow. I just came back to add that Altavista was better for images and you've beaten me to it.

Obviously true then.
