If we start posting explanations of everything YOU had never heard before, we'd need a Will Hay site. With Nudity.

Maybe some Warez too...

Yes - with Baldrick getting to put the names on the list, and Baldrick getting all the votes.

It's his board. Becoming a moderator is not a popularity contest.

Huh. You were meant to reply with a 'Who the f**k are you?' type post! Well, at least I know I'll never be a troll. Wahey?

I have no idea who or what you are, but I love the fact that via this site I have such an impact on nobodies laugh.gif
Good bless, pleasant dreams stranger, and stop quoting yourself and replying, people will think you're not liked.
Not me, I'm your new best friend.

I remember the post quite well Sat, it simply said 'moderator status to anyone who writes a guide'
Maybe he was a little thin on the ground with new guides that week smile.gif
Anyway, I only mentioned it with a view to getting a reaction is all wink.gif

I remembered reading this thread from a while back:

http://www.dvdrhelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=174312

Quite relevant.

what prequistes does one need to be a moderator?? how much time does it take???

Their isn't a specific prerequisite as such but it would help if you have a good attitude and know the rules (and how they apply) of the site.

That's relevant, isn't it? tongue.gif

It was posted five minutes after the author of the thread posted a comment in offtopic saying words to the effect of...

"...I'm worried certain people are going to be made moderators, I'm not going to say jack-shit all anymore about what I mean, suffice to say I'm not as popular as some and it concerns me".

But yes, now you've linked/quoted a specific message then of course, yes, it's relevent, I was simply pointing out the point of the thread in general.
I guess you had to be around at the time to know what I mean smile.gif
Will

EDIT: I found what I was looking for.

How mods get there is neither here nor there, you dont really know how someones gunna perform as a mod until they get the job.

I would of thought of more general interest to the untamed masses would be a methodology for impeaching or removing mods.

Not that I think this board currently has any mods that need removal! The mods on this board are pretty inconspicuous, and not in ya face. But experience on other boards has shown some otherwise tame individuals become real power freaks when they get the chance.

Everybody hates him???????????
He doesn't exist, he's not real, he's a model moderator we (the scum) generated to which all other moderators should aspire to.
You're right, you do know 'diddley-squat'.
