Hi
When I used to have a Mac (in the good old days), it would start up and play a few MP3s to wake me up in the morning. Is there any way I can:
1 - Get my PC to start itself up at a set time and;
2 - Make it play something loud on startup, as in, is there a "Startup Items" folder like on a Mac?
I have terrible trouble getting up in the morning, especially for an 8:15 lecture on cell biology. My little alarm clock doesn't cut it any more - the snooze button is big and is all too easy to hit!
Thanks for any help!

Hi
I tried some of those programs, but none work reliably. I also tried to make my PC perform some scheduled tasks, but although it would wake from standby, it wouldn't run my Vorbis player.
Luckily, I live with a computer scientist who "had a word" with my PC.
It's now the most expensive alarm clock ever!
Thanks for the ideas!
