George,
Sorry for the delay in responding. The MB did have a CD - it was under all the packing, and I missed it I'm going to give that a try later, and I'll let you know.
Thanks

Josh,
Delay doesn't matter. Had the g'daughter to soccer AND basketball practice tonight so didn't get home till near 10 PM anyway.
Just hope you get your probs solved. Gotta get the boy's machine running right..
What did you buy? If the board is a Socket A, it may go all the way to AMD 24-2600. Pentium, 478, might go to 2.4 or higher. You might have done you and him a favor, get a couple more years out of his machine When he's 12 or o he will need a 3 gig to keep up with his buddies for gaming.
Elmo and the Cookise Monster, couple gig is enough.
Cheers,
George

George,
It's a 478. I hope it lasts him a while
I reinstalled Windows98, because it wasn't recognizing my CD drives, and wouldn't let me reinstall them, so I couldn't load the CD that came with the MB. Now I've got Windows up and running, but I still can't install the CD that came with the MB - every time I try Windows says that it's performed an illegal operation, and shuts it down. So I'm puzzled
Hope Soccer and B-Ball went well
Thanks,
Josh
