I have some AVI files of TV shows I am trying to convert to MPEG so that I can burn them onto a VCD. However, whenever I encode them, they get messed up; the video runs faster than it should, and the sound runs at the proper pace... so they get progressively more out-of-sync. How can I fix this? Is there a setting I need to apply? Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

You should look at the framerate and the sampling rate of the source file. The output file should have the same settings as the source file. This should do it!
