Anyone upgraded hard disk on Thomson DTH7000E/RCA DRS7000N?

Hi, has anyone ever upgraded the hard disk on this machine???
e.g. increased it from 40GB to 80GB.

There is a hack for it here:

The hack doesn't work with my player. I suspect it is a bogus
hack as I've contacted the author but have received no response.

Anyone have any helpful info on this. I will investigate the format
of the HDD in it with Linux in the next day or two and see if
I can format a new disk outside of the machine.
