I have released a build of SVCD2DVDMPG+ which has a preview of the new proposed menu system http://www.dvdrhelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=159970
Its basically 3 templates (NTSC 4:3) for use with 2 VTS DVDs. The templates are simple (I'm no designer), but you will get the idea.
Just do an update from your menu to get the build.
Comments welcome.

Tried it and it crashed when I clicked on the Menu button. I had added 3 bins and dragged one 1 to a new a VTS.

Yep - i forgot to mention you need the "menu pack".
Here it is:
Extract this zip to your install (svcd2dvdmpg+) directory (using folders within the zip)
zip password is: menusRGr8

Have you updated the menu pack yet to include PAL?

Not yet - been sorting out some other things....
The current pack is more of a proof of concept. That said it is usable within the stated constraints. If your dvd player plays NTSC & PAL then you can have the NTSC menus with PAL movie content.... just a thought.
The main theory behind the new menu system is (when i have settled on a spec) that other people create menus to share in a public gallery. I dont want to spend all my time attempting to be creative when there are people out there who naturally are!

May I suggest you try the latest version.?
1) do an update
2) delete your Menus Folder
3) download the latest menu pack (http://www2.svcd2dvdmpg.com/release/menus.zip)
4) Extract this zip to your install (svcd2dvdmpg+) directory (using folders within the zip)
Its a bit more mature in its error handleing too.
