Cheerwine all the way! The most cherry flavor you can find in a coke.

Notice I said coke. Here in the South it's not called soft drinks, or cola, or pop, or soda. The category of drinks is called coke, and everything is called by its specific name....kinda throws everyone else off that we talk to. wink.gif

mmm Coke...

It wa on sale this week, 1.99 a 12 pack. limit 8... I've gone to the store 3 times now to stock up....

Hell I'm in my room and there is a 12 pack on the floor here next to my PC so I only have to go get a glass of ice instead of all the way downstairs to the fridge in the basement...

Naw. If I wanted orange I would say I want orange. But the overall category is coke. Orange, Cheerwine, Mountain Dew, Pepsi, and all cokes.....living in the south is fun!

I drank nothing but Mountain Dew whilst on an 8hr drive in New England. I peed green for a day afterwards and my tongue developed the velvet syndrome!

Root Beer was another discovery - it tastes like Ralgex (the stuff you spray on aching muscles).

Back in the normal world, I drink either water or diet Coke.

mountain dew contains excess yellow#5 which is known to 'shrink one's testicles' and also may cause later infertility.

Don't ask me to provide research, but it's just something I read in an article a few years ago.

I actually prefer Dr. Pepper/Mr. Pibb, but Coke is a close second. I have to say, though, hearing about possible infertility was almost enough to make me switch to Mountain Dew. Save me the money and discomfort of having a vasectomy. Oh yeah, and save me having to argue with a doctor who won't do it because I don't already have children (that's the whole POINT, isn't it?).

The testicle shrinking properties of yellow # 5 have been misreported by the media for some time now. In the late 50's, research was conducted with the stuff using rats and other small rodents. the yellow 5 was administered in their food in MASSIVE quantities. something like you drinking a 2 liter of pure yellow 5 every day for months. the stuff in MD is extremely diluted and you would have to drink oceans worth of soda to get the effect. They were reported to include testicle shrinking, testicular cancer and urinary tract/bladder cancer. poor rats. I found this info in an article that talked about mega dosing research animals and the misrepresentation of some of the facts.
the same thing was done to aspartame it was found to cause bladder cancer in rats because of the different protein types in their urine and tissue. its actually harmless to humans.

I agree. Strang on Dr Pepper. Hates that stuff for years untill about a year ago. But six can of SoBe and you will give up that bad habbit of sleeping! smile.gif

Id have to say pepsi. coke is too...whats the word im looking for.....bland? no....pepsi tastes stronger than coke, its more carbonated, lets leave it at that.

coke is probably better for you because of less carbonation (intestines).

root beer tastes like Vicks Vapor Rub. wtf is up with that?

(Did you know: Pepsi used to be medicine, it had Pepson in it hence the name).

Where's RC? living a block away from the distributer, that's like the only cheap soda around here. coke and pepsi are like $1.59 for 2 liters compared to $.99 for 3 liters of RC.
