SVCD Menu won't appear in playback ! please help out

Hi everyone

I have burnt my first SVCD yesterday (converted AVI to Mpg2 through tmpeg) and then created a menu with a picture in background and the titles of the mpg ) when I preview the menu in NEro before burning I can see the picture and the links no probs but when the svcd is burnt and played on my home DVD player the menu doesn't appear and can only play my mpgs!?
does anyone know why it's not showing ?

It could possibly be that "PBC" is not enabled on your DVD Player, check that it is and then play the disc.

However what is a PBC and how do you activate it on the DVD player is it through the menu?

"PBC" = Playback Control (I Think), it allows interactive elements (ie a menu) on a (S)VCD. You normally can dis/en-able it by a button on your remote, although obviously dvd players vary.

If it still doesn't work, it could be how you authored it in Nero. I haven't used Nero to author discs for a long time, VCDEasy is much better and as this is supposed to be a VCDEasy forum perhaps you could see if it works when you author it with VCDEasy.

Note: Some DVD players are not capable of displaying menus on (S)VCD's. Check your DVD model under the OTHER - DVD Players selection on the left of the here.
