Hi.
AS above, as a store assitant told me that only Philips own discs will work with it. Is this guy talking crap, and if he is, what WILL work with it, as Philips own brand are damn expensive.

Well, not being a "+r" guy (I have the Pioner A04), I can't say with any certainty. However, I would assume that it would be the same for either format. As long as you buy the right format, either + or - depending on your burner, any brand should work. Of course, you will have to try several brands to see which ones give you the best quality, speed, compatibility, etc. Hope this answers your question.
