VCD 2 VHS with VCR and DVD player

I made a movie for school, and shoved it on a VCD, its plays on my DVD player, i hooked up my dvd player to my vcr, it didint work, just static. Then i went through the TV to the vcr, so it worked dvd>TV>vcr, didint work, now im wondering if there is a way to do this, or if the combo dvd/vhs players do this. Thanks - Jampack

Hi
2 things to try
1st you have to select AUX or similar as the input on your VCR.
2nd make sure you have the DVD video out set to composite, most VCR's will not take an RGB input.
