Reencoding problems with high aspect ratio movies

I have found that I can only make dvd's off of high aspect ratio movies unless they are small enough to fit without reencoding. The only movies that have worked with reencoding are ones with aspect ratios of 1.xx:x. I wish to find a rempeg method to deal with oversized high aspect movies of 2.xx:x.

Help me.

tmpgenc will do what i think your talking of ..
