dual layer to single layer dvd. few problems, please help!!

Hi,
i am using the step by step guide from dvdrhelp.com to convert dvd-9 to dvd-5. i am following all instructions to the tee and sems to work fine until i burn to disc. i am using dvd decrypter,thendvd20ne, then copy to dvd.
i encrypt the dvd to HD, then i convert to dvd-5 using dvd2one, no probs there but when writing to dvd+rw to test it gets approx 80% then says there was a sector/write error!! i am using a brand new ricoh mp5125adp writer.
if anyone could help me with this matter i would be really grateful!

I think you mean you decrypted the dvd to your HD. What burning software are you using? I think many of the sector errors are due to bad disks..but that should not be all that common. I would try to do a "FULL ERASE" of the +RW and reburn.
