Hey,

have bought an ADM-212 with firmware A006.7 - 0718

Question :
Should i update the firmware?
Yes ? To which version and why ?

Note : Mainly used to play SVCDs

According to this website there are new versions.
They offer these improvements:
A) A007.0:
1.Fixes the bug that when playing DVD, VCD discs you cannot play from the resume point after opening the tray.

2.Adds the PAUSE function for MP3 discs.

3.Modifies when playing DVDs or VCDs in fast speed or slow speed mode, pressing: or 9 returns back to normal speed mode.

B) A008.0
1.Auto detects PAL or NTSC mode when inserting DVD discs.

2.Fixes the bug that when entering FACTORY DEFAULTS the password in rating level.

If these improvements are valuable to you and you do own a cd-writer, then you can upgrade the firmware.
