  1. hi ca some one advise me as i am having probs and they are ,when i try to open non mpg files ie ,avi i get an error warning under the heading
    ACTIVE MOVIE :WM PLAYER.EXE UNABLE TO LOCATE COMPONENTS
    in this window it says this application has failed because MSVCR70 DLL
    was not found i am using win xp pro with tmpeg ,nimo codacs and dvix5 what is my prob and what is the best for converting avi movies as it is getting confusing with all the different down load programs and codacs ?

    Sounds like you have a dud (fake) video.
    Try G-spot available from the tools section on this site. It will give you information about the video file such as whether it has an audio track or a vilid video track. Check it out.
