    The files only open with powerdvd. When i try to play them with WMP, it (wmp) searches for a codec online, then plays the file and crashes when at the end of the file.

    Worst of all, these files do not open with virtualdub and virtualdub mod 1.4.13.

    Please help me out. I'm trying to capture tv at 10mbps mpeg2 with powervcr and then convert to divx. But, i just can't get virtualdub to open these mpeg2 files.

    Why not have TMPGEnc Plus open the files, then save them in TMPGEnc as DivX?
