  2. I'll say it's called censorship. Does it just get you upset? Maybe it's
time too stand up and form a most perfect union of consumers. It's
our pockets that support the unlawful censorship. Is there a remittable
    force within all of us?

    :Let be or attack
    :Let us be heard
:give us the right to choose

Repression is subject to all if we choose to subside.

  3. What is that for a STUPID answer ?

Nicolas asked something, and you answer with that pamphlet crap ?

I mean, if you had answered the question, and THEN wrote that, OK, but this way ...

Country codes are usually called Region Codes, and there are, if my memory serves me right, 6 of them .

They were invented to regulate which DVD's, bought in which countried, can be played on which DVD players bought in which countries .

Put in another way : Hollywwod did not want Europeans, f.e, to be able to see a movie on DVD (bought in the US or imported) that is not even in cinemas is Europe .

Read more about it, and how to counteract it, in the great www.doom9.org RPC1 guide .

  4. Thanks for the answer JazzMC.
    Why should we be regulated?

  5. I did not imply that my opinion is that we should be regulated in this respect . The region codes are an invention that bothers me, too, and I still think that it is not concurrent with the law .

My DVD drive is regionfree (flashed), as was my last, but people with home DVD players have it much harder .

What I just wanted to give was a good answer to Nicolas's questions, as I myself was very greatful that somebody explained it to me when I found out that my drive was not able to change regions more than 5 times .

And I think with the Doom9 guide, he has them .

    Cheers ,
