problem with vcd playback

i was wondering if someone could help me....when i encode my files to MPEG-1 using Tmpg they seem to work fine but when i play them back on my dvd player it cuts out the last 2 minutes of the episode.....although it says that it encodes it all and appears to on my computer it cuts out the last about 2 minutes on my dvd player....thanx for any help

Are you overburning your CDs? The only thing I can think of is that it could be your DVD player.

i usually burn my cd's/vcd's at 8x.....my dvd player works fine though i have downloaded mpeg videos at the same length and they have worked great
