Phillips DVD Player Won't Play Blade 2 DVDxCopy BACK UP DVDR

Hi,
I Converted Blade 2 In DVDx Copy And It Wont Play In The Phillips Standalone DVD Player But Will Play In At Least 20 Other DVD Players Including X wave..Pacific..Sanyo...Alba..And In The Playstation 2 Unchipped.
It Just Sits There Saying Reading Then Spits Out The Disc Yet In Another Dvd Player That Absouluty Refuses To Play VCD's..The Blade 2 DVDR Plays NO Problem.
I've Tried Differant Media Including Bulk Pac Purple Top DVDr And Datasafa And Ritek Traxdatas White Tops And Still The Same.
The Same Phillips DVD Player Plays My Back Up Fast And Furious DVDR Done The Same Way In DVDx Copy,
I Dont Know The Model Number But Its Silver/Grey With A Centre Loading Tray And Two Symbols In The Top Left Corner On Screen Says Reading ETC When Loading With A Blue Background.
Please Help As This Is Really Baffling Me As To Why??

My Philips 711 doesn't like the Accu silver/purple media (it plays in 2 other drives & computer fine).

Maybe there is a trick to get Philips players to read DVD-R?
