    I HAVE A PANASONIC RV20.The problem is i played a vcd burned on a cdrw which worked poorly,however the player will not play normal dvds anymore,have i corrupted the firmware.

    Well, you could try to update the firmware. Your settings might be set differently too. Does the dvd match the region of the player? That's something that you should check. You should also make sure you configured the player properly. If it still won't play normal dvds after this, you might have to go buy a new one.
